A Little A.S.H.S. Children Session

On Saturday I headed down to Westport to capture these little cuties! It was extremely humid out around noontime and wow did these two have super amounts of energy!

Before we headed out though, I managed to grab a few shots inside, with a little stair action here!

Peek-a-boo!

A little sisterly love!

Noah's 1st Birthday

Way back in December Nina had me come and do a session with Noah for a surprise gift for her husband Jack! This past Saturday Noah hit the Big 1 Year Old mark and I was there to capture this adorable guy's party, I also was able to finally meet Jack!

Here are some of my favorites from the day starting with this special moment between Mommy and Noah!

Daddy givin' a little affection himself!

I really love this shot of Noah - the almost silhouette like image of himself..

This was a neighbor of Noah and he was climbing the stairs right below me and just gazed right into the camera.

Another neighbor (new to the world no doubt) and just smiling/laughing up a storm!

Noah's cousin was also there for the festivities!

Noah's aunt Annette walking with him a bit.

Really loving this soft diffused light and Noah's beautiful eyes.

I had a great time at Noah's party, was still a little sore from earlier in the day when I kinda had a bumpy ride in Whiplash!

Lucas 2nd Birthday

This past Saturday I met Lucas and his very large family! It was a celebration for his second birthday..

Here are a few of my favorite images from Saturday, starting with this one as he had a moment of "okay you have been here for a bit now - you're not so much a stranger, I can look at you!"

Lucas sharing a little moment with his Dad

I couldn't believe how much hair he had and how curly it was!

Lucas cousin (Eva or Ava) not sure of the correct spelling, but she was just a gem, she just plopped down on these stairs and started saying "cheese"

I really like the fact that I'll get lucky once in a while and catch a swift moving toddler at the right moment as was this case!

Lucas enjoying some of his birthday cake!

A little aerial shot of Lucas sitting on the ground having some cake!

It was nice meeting you Lucas as well as your entire family! Look forward to seeing you again.

Brody's 1st Birthday

I had the distinct pleasure this past Sunday to document Brody's very first birthday party! It was a blast, there were so many adorable 1, 2 and 3 year old's running around I couldn't stop shooting!

The rain held out this past Sunday, at least between the hours of 1-3, which was a great thing considering the party was outside!

Here are a couple of my favorites from Brody's Birthday Bash starting with a cute little moment between Mother & Son!

This little guy is just so adorable!

A little balloon action with Brody hanging on!

This totally adorable girl has to have a serious crush on Brody, she followed him everywhere all day!

Next few shots are just some great portrait-like shots of the cutest little kids - I selected them for the blog because they look so messy and just totally cute!

I think in this next shot she is a little upset because Brody wasn't around, you can see the disappointment in her face... :(

And look at the way she looks at him in this next image, incredible!

Brody it was great seeing you as well as your Mom and Dad again!

Simon Says!

Sunday I had the pleasure of meeting Simon along with his parents Alyson & John. They wanted to do the session at their new home in Woodbridge and it was a great idea! The had the coolest fireplace ever. I have never seen a fireplace that was kinda-sorta all open on what would normally be the "front" and the "rear" of it - it was totally unique (at least to me) and their little Simon loved it to.

When I arrived and was checking my lighting and such I was able to grab this super awesome shot of Simon looking through the fence off of their back deck. He was sporting a totally adorable little fisherman type-o-hat!

After a while Simon just started doing his own thing, here he is just snooping along the ground between the tree branches.

One of the many fireplace shots - not too much soot at this point, but isn't this the coolest fireplace!! One side leads to the dining area and the other to the living room area.

Nope, he wasn't eating chocolate cupcakes, he was just full of soot!

Adorable little shot outside after he removed his little hat!

It was really tough to get the light right on a couple of these, but I managed to bounce it off of the side wall, the ceilings were dark wood plank'ish and obviously that wasn't going to work.

I was getting a close up shot of Simon on his back porch area and he started walking backwards and ka-plunk fell right into this bob-for-apples-type-o-bucket and I couldn't help but giggle and just kept on shooting.

Something about this image reminds me of an old Rockwell painting, just the look on his face, I am seriously considering throwing some Lucis Art on this and perhaps give it a painterly look.

Close up shot of Simon.

After he fell in the bucket, I think he decided it would be safer to just sit in it for a while!

I was really digging the look on Simon's face here.

It was great meeting you Simon, Alyson and John. Look forward to seeing this little guy grow up!

The Z's

Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting the Z's [Rosemary, Keith, Kaila and Cosmo]

You can definitely see where Kaila and Cosmo get their eyes from (thanks Mommy!) I had a great time and Mr. Cosmo had lots and lots of energy! He is definitely a happy youngen that's for sure and has a fantastic personality and smile.

I have to give kudos to Kaila, she was so helpful with her little brother and she was the perfect assistant in helping me set up.

It was great meeting you guys, I had a great time... Here are some of my favorites from yesterday, starting with this close-up shot of Cosmo!

Kaila and Cosmo just resting on Mom and Dad

Cosmo was ready to cook everyone lunch!

Dad had a great idea, lets interlock his legs and maybe it will take him a moment to figure out how to untangle them!!! It worked too!

Cosmo must be 20lbs, the barbell 10% of his weight, he was a strong one!

I really liked this shot, the way Kaila's hair was positioned and Cosmo's expression

Cosmo was starting to get tired (but only for a moment!)

This is a great expression!

Ahhh, I can stop entertaining the photographer for a moment and have some yummy milk! Hey I want a Girl Scout Thin Mint too Mommy!! Dad offered up a thin mint and I could not pass that up!

The whole gang here - this was actually a test shot for the lighting, but with everyone peaking around each other, I saved it!!!

I had a great time guys, again thanks for the cookie and trusting me with your precious moments.
