Cool Flowers

Okay, I'm not a huge experienced horticulturist (did I even spell that correctly?) - Anyways my neighbor received these flowers and stopped by asking if I would take a picture or two - me, being the super duper nice guy I am - I said sure no problem...

Easier said than done - it was like 8pm - no daylight what-so-ever - and had to bust out all sorts of lighting to get anything reasonably close to what they should look like - I'm glad I did, cuz they came out pretty freaking awesome!

Thanks Dee Dee Dee Dee!

Semi Family Shoot in N.Y.

Okay, so when I was doing the session with Travis, Jr and his lovely mom, her sister and her kids were also there, and I just had to grab a few shots of them as well.

Tyler & Jack were so well behaved I almost couldn't believe it! Jack was definitely a trip, while I was setting up some lighting, I asked him if he wouldn't mind helping me out for a few test shots, and he got pretty silly..

Nevertheless here are a few of my favorites.

No Clue!

I was driving to a session in Monroe, NY and came to a scenic area - I'm not particularly happy with this exposure - it was pretty hazy out and the lighting was terrible, but what the heck - I can't control the conditions under these circumstances!

Welcome to the world Travis!

I just realized my last post was on September 8th - that is so coincidental as little Travis, Jr. was born on this day!!!

This shoot took place in Monroe, NY - I googled the directions and realized this would be a real nice trip - I took the backroads on my way there as I noticed there were a lot of really large lakes and such along the way and figured I'd be able to get some really awesome landscape shots, which I did, unfortunately I haven't looked at them yet, but will get them posted by the weekend hopefully.

So this turned out to be a dual family shoot - not only was I privy to photograph Travis a mere 12 days old, but his cousins Tyler and Jack were also there - so it turned into a multi-family session! I'll hopefully get to those images as well by the weekend (gee I'm promising an awful lot!!!) - don't hold me to it though!

I was blown away by the residence - I just could not get over how freaking awesome taupe's and brown's could look - everything was just so freaking "picture perfect" and I mean it - I was complimenting Kristin when she revealed that Travis Sr. was mostly responsible - then I also found out he is in real estate! About halfway through the session Kristin asked if I would like to see their basement - I said sure - and holy freaking cow it was awesome - just decorated so freaking well - the whole way back home I kept thinking, dang I need to have this guy come do some interior decorating at my place!

Enough chatter - I had a great time and the shoot went very well - little Travis is not only adorable but he is also a pretty calm baby!

Here are just a few of my favorites...

He sort of fell asleep in the next shot while lying on the pool table!

Mom just decided to hop up on the couch and lay next to Travis...

I had a great time and it was an honor to meet little Travis!

Squirrel + Peanut + On The Run!

Okay, so I'm changing a few things around in my post-processing work flow and wanted to bang off a few shots and hone my skills within ALR. I've been using AB and ACR but wanted a bit more control during the post-processing stage before my images even hit Photoshop.

BTW Adobe's release of the Camera Calibration files is so freaking awesome, thanks to "Matt Koslowski" for pointing this out in this "video".

Anyways, I went out on my deck and grabbed several images, however, this one was just so freaking cool.

Vision at Daniel Street

Saturday night I had another request to shoot "Vision" down at "Daniel Street Cafe" in Milford. I arrived around 8:30 or so and the band went on around 10:00. As usual Vision drew its regular following plus there were some new faces.

I wanted to get a nice outside shot of Daniel Street, but it was pretty dark and I had to hand-hold the camera for an 1/8 of a second - the shot looked really good but passer-bys and cars left their streaks, so I had to crop the crap out of the original image - :o)

Here are a few of my favorites

Another great show guys...

Claudia's Quickie

So I get a call around 8:30 this morning.. Well it really wasn't a call - it was an instant message, but same difference - Claudia was commenting on the "Myer Session" and "Kasey & Brian's e-shoot".

She told me she cut her hair and needs a few new photos for her blog, portfolio, website, etc. I told her I would be home all day doing some post processing on "Vision's" appearance at Daniel Street Saturday night and to swing by anytime...

She arrived around 1:00 and was gone by 1:15 - it was the quickest shoot ever and what amazing results... See for yourself!

Awesome awesome awesome!
