Brody's 1st Birthday

I had the distinct pleasure this past Sunday to document Brody's very first birthday party! It was a blast, there were so many adorable 1, 2 and 3 year old's running around I couldn't stop shooting!

The rain held out this past Sunday, at least between the hours of 1-3, which was a great thing considering the party was outside!

Here are a couple of my favorites from Brody's Birthday Bash starting with a cute little moment between Mother & Son!

This little guy is just so adorable!

A little balloon action with Brody hanging on!

This totally adorable girl has to have a serious crush on Brody, she followed him everywhere all day!

Next few shots are just some great portrait-like shots of the cutest little kids - I selected them for the blog because they look so messy and just totally cute!

I think in this next shot she is a little upset because Brody wasn't around, you can see the disappointment in her face... :(

And look at the way she looks at him in this next image, incredible!

Brody it was great seeing you as well as your Mom and Dad again!

Alex & Chris

This past Saturday I had another opportunity to shoot with Robert Norman.. The Wedding was at The Inn at Longshore in Westport.

The weather was perfect although it did rain a tiny bit, but it held out until after the ceremony, which was held outside!

Here are a few of my favorites from the day starting with Alex having some last minute adjustments made for her.

She has a beautiful smile I was lucky enough to capture it here!

This little girl was just so precious, I couldn't help but point my lens at her numerous times through out the day.

Little three piece string ensemble played music while the guests started to arrive and during the procession.

I absolutely adore this little flower girl and her moment of confusion "where am I suppose to be?" - too cute

During the ceremony I took a little walk and captured the moment from a distance.

After some formal photos we went over to this totally classic/vintage Cadillac for some photos. I really love the way Alex & Chris interacted with each other.

If you look closely you can see that Robert is the apple of Alex's eye!

The couples first dance from a distance!

At one point I saw the Ring Bearer and his pal walking along the stone wall (hidden from view) and had to capture that moment.

A little wide shot of the reception area.

Laura & Charles

I had the wonderful opportunity to tag along with seasoned Wedding Photographer Robert Norman the last two Saturdays. I feel if I surround myself with those individuals who are well established in this business I can continue to learn and improve on my existing skills.

I thought I would share a few of the images from Laura & Charles' wedding; starting with this shot of Charles polishing his shoes - he comments how he rarely dresses up and thought it would be neat to polish his own shoes; he said it wasn't quite like he imagined it would be!

After the ceremony, we headed around back and while Robert was grabbing some shots of the couple to my far right, I managed to sneak in a few shots from the angle you see here.

During the toast I was able to get this great shot of Laura - who is really appreciating the fine words being spoken.

Charles' mother had the coolest hat I had ever seen - I mean it was just super awesome and I had to definitely get a shot of her with her hat!

Decided to take a step back and get an image of the entire atmosphere.

No doubt that this is one of my favorites and this individual strikingly resembles Abe!

I had to post this next shot, it was pitch black and flash wasn't really going to work to well so I cranked up the ISO on my camera to 6400 and managed to get this shot of Robert doing his thing!

Thanks again for letting me tag along!

Simon Says!

Sunday I had the pleasure of meeting Simon along with his parents Alyson & John. They wanted to do the session at their new home in Woodbridge and it was a great idea! The had the coolest fireplace ever. I have never seen a fireplace that was kinda-sorta all open on what would normally be the "front" and the "rear" of it - it was totally unique (at least to me) and their little Simon loved it to.

When I arrived and was checking my lighting and such I was able to grab this super awesome shot of Simon looking through the fence off of their back deck. He was sporting a totally adorable little fisherman type-o-hat!

After a while Simon just started doing his own thing, here he is just snooping along the ground between the tree branches.

One of the many fireplace shots - not too much soot at this point, but isn't this the coolest fireplace!! One side leads to the dining area and the other to the living room area.

Nope, he wasn't eating chocolate cupcakes, he was just full of soot!

Adorable little shot outside after he removed his little hat!

It was really tough to get the light right on a couple of these, but I managed to bounce it off of the side wall, the ceilings were dark wood plank'ish and obviously that wasn't going to work.

I was getting a close up shot of Simon on his back porch area and he started walking backwards and ka-plunk fell right into this bob-for-apples-type-o-bucket and I couldn't help but giggle and just kept on shooting.

Something about this image reminds me of an old Rockwell painting, just the look on his face, I am seriously considering throwing some Lucis Art on this and perhaps give it a painterly look.

Close up shot of Simon.

After he fell in the bucket, I think he decided it would be safer to just sit in it for a while!

I was really digging the look on Simon's face here.

It was great meeting you Simon, Alyson and John. Look forward to seeing this little guy grow up!
