Crista & Mike's e-Shoot

This past Sunday I had the opportunity to finally meet with Crista & Mike after many emails and phone calls!

We met at Tilly Pond Park in Darien for their engagement session. It was wicked humid and Mike had just got done playing 67 holes of golf (don't know much about golf - maybe 67 is a slight exaggeration - maybe it was 27).

We met at 2PM (OMG peek sun time) - and we spent a couple hours together.. Crista and Mike were great to work with, I actually kinda felt out of place and wasn't sure what to do, cuz Mike kept throwing out these nifty ideas (some of the images from a couple nifty ideas had to be canned - per request of Crista LOL) - P.S. Crista, I don't blame you!!!

After walking around the pond we headed across the street to the Darien railroad station and although Mike was a little resistant at first - Crista quickly persuaded him!

I really like this shot of the two of them - just sharing a little intimate moment!

They were so into each other, think I was a bit envious of their happiness!

Crista & Mike are total goofballs and just kept cracking each other up!

I really like this next image of the two of them leaning up against the wall, you can just sense the closeness they have with one another.

Here comes the train! I only wished it was moving faster, cuz we could have definitely used the breeze!

As we were walking back to the car, I asked Mike if he would mind me taking just a couple more shots and he obliged!

It was great working with you guys - looking forward to your wedding!

Jared James' Book Signing at Borders

Jared's Book "Enjoy Success Today" has been doing quite well, so much so, its on the best seller's list. Yay Jared!

This afternoon I had the pleasure of covering his book signing event at Borders in the CT Post Mall.

Here are several of my favorites from the event

Prior to Jared getting seated in the big book signing chair, we went outside for a couple of minutes!

Had to definitely take a shot from behind Jared to show the crowd!

I really am diggin this shot of Jared, one thing I really noticed is that Jared really pays attention to people when they speak, he really has an interest in hearing people's stories, which really shows who he is as a person and his character.

Jared, your book signing was a great success, as always I am wishing you the best!

Allison & David's Wedding

Well I totally had an awesome time on Saturday with Allison, David and of course the one and only Robert Norman!!! I tagged along with Robert for Allison & David's Wedding.

Last Monday evening I actually met with a couple who are having their reception at the New Haven Lawn Club next year, so it was totally awesome to be able to check the place out as well as the surrounding area before hand.

The ceremony was at St Mary's and I must say the church was absolutely breath-taking. The colors were so brilliant they almost looked unreal.

After the ceremony the four of us walked around Hillhouse and the architecture was just wonderful, of course the New Haven Lawn club was totally rockin' and the moment I arrived I was scoping out the brick walls and the peeling paint and said, we definitely need to do some shooting out here after the sun goes down and fire up the video light!!! Needless to say Allison, Dave and even Rob were up for it!

When I arrived at Allison's Mom's house the dress was hanging on a door and the skylight was hitting the dress just so right, enough to grab the shot below. How awesome was that dress with the flowers kinda/sorta built right in!

Allison doing her own shoes! Imagine that!!!

Forward view of St. Mary's, how unbelievably awesome is this Church, I couldn't get enough of it!

Rear view of the Church

Couple special moments after the pronunciation!

I was digging the hand-holding and how Dave looked at Allison

Walking down Hillhouse with Robert in action!

Couple shots here of Allison & Dave

Down and around the psychology building!! How convenient!

The psych building had some serious pillars! I was loving it, definitely check out Rob's blog for another angle.

Something about a couple walking, and an angle that just absolutely does it for me.. (hmm photographically speaking - that is)

This area was so perfect - the grass nearly matched Allison's bouquet

Totally digging this shot and the expressions as well as the B&W

Little Smooch!!

Their first dance...

There was this odd, yet friendly, totally cool guy at the reception who just popped right up in fro... oh wait.. That's him! That's Mr. Robert Norman - at least part of him (his best part!!!)

I grabbed a light stand, extended it about 8 feet, put on Nikon's 14-24 and held it high above the crowd, was really digging the results - this is a time when a flip LCD screen would come in handy!

Allison and her Dad...

Okay, the following few shots have to be just - well - some of my best work... Remember earlier I mentioned the video light and the brick walls! Here we go!

Allison and Dave enjoying a little intimacy!

Loved these next few shots of Allison, she was just posing up a storm, but, it was totally natural!

Allison, Dave it was great meeting you guys! Robert, as always thanks a bunch for having me tag along..

Michelle & Bill's e-Shoot

This past Sunday I had the opportunity to do a little engagement session with Michelle & Bill! We started off at St. Mary's By The Sea from there we headed to Southport Harbor proceeded to downtown Fairfield and wound up at an Elementary School - at least I think that's what it was!

The brought their lovely daughter Hollywood along as well - who was so patient, but did eventually begin to get a little hungry near the end, so big thank you's to Brit, who not was only a trooper but also assisted me in getting Bill to smile!

So let's start off with giving Hollywood a few props here and a huge thank you!!!

Now let's meet Michelle (an accountant zzzzz zzzzz) and Bill (a mechanic) - I thought it would have been cool to have Bill put Michelle up on a lift at his garage, although Bill was all for it, Michelle wasn't crazy about the idea! (Hmmm come to think of it, maybe I could have bribed her with a quarter!)

I absolutely love this next shot of them, I just am totally feeling the emotion in Michelle's eyes as she is looking at him.

We stumbled upon this bus stop, and if you follow my blog, ya know I've got a thing for bus stops and couples LOL - this had to be the most robust bus stop I have ever seen - all brick - how cool was that!

Bill here is really working hard, although it may not seem it - he really is. I think it was worth the 2 quarters, right Bill? (Note to self - bring roll of quarters on Wedding Day!!)

I really liked this intimate moment between them - that moment just before always captivates me.

I posed the question to both Michelle & Bill, are you guys ticklish? That's all it took and Michelle went to town, but don't fret, Bill got a few good ones in there too!

We were walking down this little passage when we realized there was some sort of street fair going on - how awesome was that!

Although deceiving I promise you Michelle did not end up behind bars legally, it was totally optional at the play ground!

How cool was this corrugated wall, as I was taking this shot, I was thinking that the lines converging on the left would look so awesome in a close up shot!

See! I told you - look at those lines converge - YUM!

I had a great time with you guys, I am really looking forward to your special day; thanks for letting little RickyO hang with the cool Michelle, Bill & Brit for a few hours!
