Olivia & Eleni - Mini Elves

Is it Elves or Elf's - I'm cracking up over here - I have never ever ever had to write the word Elves/Elf's. These two little girls are so freaking cute - I must say that Olivia seems to be getting a little less shy the more and more I see her. And Eleni I never even know she is around she is so quiet... Bet Mom (Elena) does a big hip hip hooray for that one!

Here are a few of my favorites of these little adorable angels!

Mom tried sitting here and having Olivia sit down with her - but Olivia wanted to sit with just her doll - after a bit though it was okay for mom to sit down beside her!

This has to be one of the mischevious looks I've seen in the cutest way!

Olivia caught a leaf... YEAH!

In this scene - Olivia's aunt was throwing leaves up in the air and Olivia was just so giggly.

A close-up of Olivia giggling while the leaves were being thrown.

Olivia is getting such an awesome personality!

Travis Stuart - Christened

Okay, so I'm posting these a little out of order, but its my blog so I guess its okay! I was honored to have been the photographer of little Travis' Christening. The ceremony was at St Stephens Parish in Kearny, NJ - it was a grand church - architecturally astounding! Of course little Trav was just so darn well behaved the entire day. The reception followed in Ramsey, NJ.

Here are a few of my favs.

The church was so huge!

I just loved the architecture on the back walls.

The proud parents of lil Trav - Trav & Kristin

Rear of the church - just look at those pipes - WOW that's a lot of lead!

This little guy at the reception was doing some serious posing!

Kristin shooting me shooting her!

Alas the Holy water!

This gentleman had so much character - I couldn't stop photographing him!

This shot is so paparazzi - a cross between an FBI agent guarding someone or a newspaper reporter for the tabloids!

Awesome detail shot of Travis' little suit

It was a great time - the reception was fantastic and you and your family were so nice - I look forward to working with you again in the future!

Derby River Walk

Okay, so I realized that the Shelton River Walk wasn't the side of the River Walk everyone was talking about. I headed to the Derby side of the River Walk this past weekend, and I must admit, it was absolutely gorgeous - and was also about 1.7 miles.

It was a bit windy on Saturday, but the color was gorgeous, the sky had those big white puffy clouds and it was a very clear day.

Here are some of my favorites...

Amazing beauty right in the valley!

Shelton River Walk

It seems that everyone and their brother keeps talking about this River Walk over in Shelton, so I decided to go over there and see what the fuss is really all about. After being there, I must say, the main attraction has to be the ability to walk :o) Well they have brick pavers everywhere and its a small section perhaps 1/2 a mile or so and it is absolutely clean and just picture-perfect. Of course the minute you step off of the brick pavers it resembles a typical inner-city.

It was a bit windy, and was unable to get anything really really good in as far as color in the leaves without a slight blur, but a few lamp posts (which weren't blowin) did catch my eye!

All in all it was worth the 15 minute drive!

Up Under I-95 in Old Saybrook

I didn't have anything going on this weekend and just wanted to hop in the car and take a drive and get some fresh air (-- thats kinda an oxymoron) - anyways the weather was awesome, the skies were clear and crisp and instead of going South or up to the North West corner of the state, I decided to go North..

I wanted to head to Old Saybrook and the Essex area - never really found what I was looking for, but stumbled upon this massive section of bridge under I-95. The lamp posts were just so freaking kewl and there were these rocks of wonderous almost make believe colors.

It's starting to get chilly out which seems to mean that Summer is officially coming to an end and I don't like the cold.. :o)

Alicia & Brian

It was a pleasure shooting the preparations and details of your wedding day. As always it is a pleasure working with your family :o)

Here are a few of my favorites from your BIG day!!!

Loved this shot of the shoes - was taken on Alicia's mom's deck.

These doors were perfect for this shot of the dress.

The pearls on the dresser drawer were definitely one of my favorites. I saw the light coming in from the window and knew I wanted to do something - then bam - let's use the pearls!

Alicia's mom brought in these flowers and I thought what a great capture it would be just propped there behind the shoes.

Alicia checking herself out after the make-up artist finished.

Alicia's niece was so freaking adorable!

Here is Alicia's sister with her daughter explaining to her to keep walking :o)

I just loved all of the color in this shot - her eyes and the flowers it all just came together.

Open Studio's West Haven

This weekend there were a lot of artists displaying their creations at various places throughout the West Haven & New Haven area. I stopped by the West Haven Studio on Elm Street on Saturday.

There was so much junk in this place and you could just imagine all of the history associated with the building which was built in the early 1800's if my memory serves me correctly.

One of the many doors nailed shut within the old foundry.

A section of the outside wall where some of the boiler pipes were located - they knocked a hole out to remove the boiler years ago and it has slowly deteriated.

Larry Cowles - fellow photographer displaying some of his work and taking notes (I think!)

The location where the boiler once resided - this was really really interesting - you could almost feel the history of the place.

Some old mechanical portable contraption which looked like it was used to hoist up skids.

Close up of the wall pictured above.

Mike Stock of "Stockboy Designs" was one of the artists displaying his work, this is a partial image of a much larger painting.

Ryan of "Ackt!", another one of the contributing artists catching a moment with his lady!
